exactly: this point is key. These fans think that by wearing the jersey they are showing support. In reality this is very selfish. The best way to show support is to suck up your selfish pride and wear any red as opposed to a white or black Flames jersey. Any true fan will commend you for your raggedy red* t-shirt and conversly condemn you for wearing a white or black** jersey.
*edit: thanks corporatejay...had written white, but actually meant red. I was writing so many reds and whites and blacks that I confused myself.
**screwed this one up too, changed it from red to black.
