Because Iggy isn't even in the same league as Gretzky. The year Gretzky was traded to St Louis he scored 120 pts in 80 games and averaged
more than a pt per game for the last 5 years. Can you say the same about Iggy? No.
As a matter of fact, Gretzky retired 5 years later at the age of 40 because he was "only" averaging a pt per game and he felt he was no longer able to play at the level he wanted to.
Definitely apples and oranges.
