a) Pittsburgh was well aware that it was between them and Boston. They're also well aware of what Boston has to offer.

b) Pittsburgh was already looking like the favorite in the East and had strengthened their team, they could afford to pass.

I love this criticism. People would be losing their #### if Iginla left for nothing. If anything waiting would put more pressure on the Flames, they were the one s who were looking at getting nothing.
