Good post, BloodFetish, and the exact variety of level-headed approach that I'm attempting to take when looking at this situation. It was foreseen that the return in this trade, regardless, would be scoffed at by Flames fans at least in the interim, but I hope that we have enough collective patience to take a breath and see how this all plays out. Feaster's been at the butt-end of some major (occasionally cruel) negativity, but it's very true to say that the task of righting this ship is an arduous one, and will require the sort of patience that Ken King was calling for in his interview from a few weeks ago.

The trading of the captain shows, more so than the trading of any other player, that this franchise is gearing up for some fairly unprecedented change. This may be frustrating at times but Iggy finally gets a chance to find Stanley, and Flames fans are finally going to get the huge breath of fresh air they've been yearning for.
