The overall calibre is still far below AHL, imo its below CHL Jr.
These 2 talented NCAA forwards may stand out amongst a bunch of players that maybe 1% even make the NHL.
They still have to prove themselves in the AHL.
NCAA is a totally different brand of hockey all together.
But it doesn't suprise 1 bit they went this route because that is Weisbrods background NCAA and Jay trusts him. We will just see who is right in 3 years.
But do you really think STH are going to put up with 20 win seasons i don't in fact i know they won't.

Most STH don't expect the Iginla trade to be the one that turns the franchise around. It's going to take alot more than that. The Iginla trade and rebuild should have started 3 years ago and not today. We waited too long and now the process could be painful for fans.
I agree those 2 players have to prove themselves but at the same time i'm not going to write them off until they've had a chance. Also when your star player gives you a small amount of teams to deal with, it reduces your bargaining power. Plus we don't have the inside info of what players were discussed and how it came down to the 2 prospects.
As for Weisbrod didn't he recommend Gaudreau, Jankowski and Gilles? For me the jury is still out and i'm willing to give Weisbrod some time
