As far as Morrow goes a lot of interesting things are coming out about him since the trade. Things like him not being happy with coaches telling him to change his style of play to be more effective. I suspect he's dropped significantly in the Pittsburgh management's opinions since he was drafted, and with their glut of puck-moving defensemen they felt he was expendable.
As far as Maata goes, the fact Calgary passed on him twice (?) tells me they weren't very high on him.
Still not overly excited about this package. I think Khokhlachev will end up being the best player of any of them unless we get a gem with that late 1st, but ultimately Iggy ran the show on this one.
