That, and I am guessing Iginla wanted to make sure the deals were relatively equal for the return the Flames were getting, after the teams on his list had presented offers
He wasn't going to go to Pit for a 3rd round pick and one of those players if Boston was asking for 2 prospects plus a conditional(?) 1st round pick.
But, once those deals look equal, I am sure the desire to play in Pitt made it a no brainer, without hurting the Flames either.
