It's not that Feaster screwed up or the Flames management are idiots; that's just the reality of the market, especially when you're bound by a NMC. Guys like Hossa and Kovalchuk could be auctioned off to anyone and even they mostly returned crap outside of the 1st round picks. And it's even tougher when you only have a maximum of 3 potential destinations.

It's become pretty clear that if you want to get maximum value for a player you have to trade them with some term left on their deal.
Sorry can't agreee with this. If UFA Morrow can get back the best D prospect in a trade, then Iggy should at least get a very good prospect and a 1st.

I think you might be underestimating how bad our management team really is. It really looks like they got played by both Boston and Pitt. Neither of the 2 offers were any good. One offer had a first with mey prospects and the other offer had a better prospect and a conditional 1st. Either way management and ownership have no idea what they are doing.
