Think about it - you have two interested parties:
1) Offering two 2nd liner prospects and a conditional 1st rounder
2) Offering two 2nd/3rd line prospects and a 1st rounder
Then, you let the player choose which one is better based on who's on the team. I'd choose the Pens too if all I've ever wanted were first line centers to play with and a high percentage to win the cup. I think the Flames are better off with a guaranteed 1st rounder pick rather than a conditional one. If Iggy comes back in the off-season, basically Iggy gets a Cup, Flames gets a 2 first round picks, the team is at least a little better off than where they are now. Now, they just gotta gut at least three quarters of this team and just rebuild. Just hope Iggy comes back in the off-season.
