If Iginla goes to the Penguins I have little doubt he will play on any line he is asked to. I'm not even advocating splitting up Crosby's line. Iginla might play on the third line to start, maybe with Sutter. He'll shift in with Malkin, if an injury happens or Dupuis starts to talk off, he'll slot in with Crosby.

He's a team player who will do what he is asked. He just hasn't been asked to do anything but first line winger for the Flames because no one has ever come closing to being able to replace him. Not even at 35 years old.
Iginla with Sutter is certainly not the worst thing that can happen to the Pens.

With Fleury there they are going to have to have games they score more than 4 goals to win. Put out 3 solid scoring lines won't hurt them.

The thing is they are poised to win now and Shero had shown that he is willing to pay to make that happen.

Winning now is better than keeping prospect to be okay 5 years from now for a team like Pittsburgh.
