That's a great example of what a team guy Iginla is. He played whatever role was asked of him on that team, didn't whine and complain, slowly moved up the line up, by the last game was on the top line and ended up being on the tournament winning goal.

If Iginla goes to the Penguins I have little doubt he will play on any line he is asked to. I'm not even advocating splitting up Crosby's line. Iginla might play on the third line to start, maybe with Sutter. He'll shift in with Malkin, if an injury happens or Dupuis starts to talk off, he'll slot in with Crosby.

He's a team player who will do what he is asked. He just hasn't been asked to do anything but first line winger for the Flames because no one has ever come closing to being able to replace him. Not even at 35 years old.
