I understand Iginla is an offensive upgrade on the right side, but would that line produce any more with Iginla on it over Dupuis? Debatable. Difficult to be any better than they already are, easy to upset things and not keep up that pace.
Dupuis has been on Crosby's wing on and off for a long time now, as room mates, I'd say there is probably a reason for that: Crosby likes playing with Dupuis.
For me, it comes down to many teams would like to add Iginla, but none are willing to pay the premium that Calgary is asking for.
Here's an article discussing their chemistry as a line. It's about familiarity and hard work:

Sure but they had great chemistry last year and when it came to the play-offs with tougher match-ups and more line matching it wasn't enough.
Adding Iginla gives them so much more flexibility and much more likelihood to have play-off success.
In 2 years when Ollie Maata might be good enough to make your team are you still going to be a Stanley cup favorite? Is he good enough to make a real difference to a team in a play-off series like Iginla could?
What is more likely Dupuis keeping up this career year numbers or running into a slump?
