Meh, I don't really buy that. He's only going to a good team....so chances are that team will already have a franchise player or three to build any sort of marketing plan around. Kane, Toews, Crosby, Malkin, Chara, Seugin, Brown, Richards, Doughty... plenty of drawing power there. Those teams are already selling out at the moment anyway...does anyone really think Chicago or LA need a marketing boost?
This is not Iggy of 10 years ago where he was a young face of the league. Sure, a new team might get a boost, but to call it "off the charts" is in the realm of fantasy imo.
