Just finished watching the game, had to work late tonight. 'Hawks were able to keep the Flames on the perimeter, while clogging the shooting lanes. The Flames have to get something working towards the net, whether it is dropping a shoulder and driving, or cycling with a weak side cutter, but nothing seemed to be generated off of some decent O-Zone possession in the 1st and 3rd. The 2nd had your guys on the PK, and your guys took way too many icings at even strength, no possession at all.
Comeau and Jackman had some good early shifts, but I don't recall seeing much of that combo after the 1st.
'Hawk forwards Kane, Frolik, and Saad were all effort and had really good games. Emery had an easy night for the Shutout.
Kipper gave your guys a chance, although the 1st goal was not a good one...but good or bad, very few good scoring chances for your guys, so you can't blame goaltending for the loss...Cammalleri simply can't abandon the D-zone just because he lost his stick, whether or not Kipper got interfered with, a D man cannot be allowed to walk down that low unchallenged.
Better luck in your team in their final game of the season which is against my guys (the 'Hawks penultimate regular season game).
