Don't see him as much different than Stajan during his time in Toronto. Not great depth placed them in positions that they wouldn't be on other teams, grabbing PP time when on contenders they wouldn't be seeing. Grabovski might be the better player, but that contract is terrible.

At least with Cammalleri his contract ends after next year. Worst case scenario is you ride him out until the next deadline, hoping he keeps up his offensive production, and trade him for a pick or two. With Grabovski, he's signed until 2017, has had his point production drop the last couple years now and could easily become an albatross of a contract for the next several years. I'd prefer staying away. Besides, what good does a 30 year old 2nd line center (at best) do for the Flames over the next couple seasons if they're completely rebuilding?

Grabovski's on pace for 33 points this year, could you imagine how big of goat someone like that would be if his production stayed that way and he was getting 6M a year for it?
