I wonder if Kipper realizes if he was dealt to the east, he would see his family more with the travel schedule, of course this is based on his family moving with him and not staying in Calgary. I'm sure the acquiring team could set up accomodations for his family and he would see them as much if not more than he already does. Heck, maybe the team would only play him at home and take a third goalie for away games. Maher said this isn't the first instance where a player balks at being traded only to agree later to a move.
