So you agree that he's under contract and do whatever the contract states? This is the exact same as if a team would say "look, we are losing money so we aren't going to pay you what we said we were going to"
If you're going to bring up his contract that means it should be honoured by both sides.
He's done great for the Flames in the past but he hasn't done it for free. He was paid and paid well. The fact that he was the only one who actually cared on some nights is all the more reason for him to want to go to a playoff team. He can't do this and say it's something he's earned the right to do, he earned the right not to be traded in prior years but to make a threat like that is just dirty.
I really hope this isn't true and he's traded.
