You earn that in a NTC/NMC. He knew when he signed the deal he could be moved in the last two years and was fine with that.
If he wants to retire I will gladly give him a standing O and hope his jersey gets hung in the rafters.
But right now he is not bigger or more important than the team.
I am not saying ban him from the Flames for life or ignore what was done in the past but if he doesn't want to help the team than he can go now.
