Then why did you bring programming up in your last post? Sigh.
If you just let your kids do exactly what they want, they won't have much exposure to the range of things they could be doing. Of course you give them options, but letting them focus on only one activity for 12 months of every year shouldn't be one of them. Letting them steer the ship when all they care about are hockey and Pokemon might be a recipe for failure.
