I think there's a press conference first. You don't trade a player like Iggy, without facing the media.
And I can't see Iggy flying to Boston to meet with the Bruins for anything. If they wanted to talk to him or see if he's interested in an extension, the Bruins would fly to him, not the other way around.
Probably BS from Pollack.

In a compressed season there's no real time to do it, and if the deal happens on the road he flies straight to Boston and the team gives him a couple of minutes to say good bye to team mates and then he's gone.
It doesn't matter if he's at home or on the road, if an agreement is met the Bruins will want him integrating with the team and getting mentally ready as soon as possible, so the Flames won't wait for him to get home to see his family. As tough as it sounds this is the way of pro sports.
I've read books where players are called off of the bus on trade deadline, their luggage is pulled off of the bus and they talk to the GM for a couple of minutes and the team travel agent of their new team to get them arrangements and they're gone.
They don't want an upset former player hanging with the team for too long.
Heck when Lanny was traded from Colorado they pulled him off of the bus and left him in the hotel lobby and forgot to pull his luggage off of the bus. His departure was a matter of minutes and he was a former Rocky.
Lets not over romanticize this thing. Iginla will go from being a Flame to a Bruin or Hawk or Canuck or whatever in a matter of minutes they won't drag this out so that they can keep the team focused on the task at hand moving on without Iggy and to give Iggy a chance to emotionally move on to his new team.
I'm betting the only press conference we see is in his new city with his new team. He isn't Gretzky and this isn't mid summer trade. He might do a interview for Calgary Radio or Calgary press after the fact but there won't be a tearful press conference except by the xyz team where he talks about how much he loved Calgary and how Thankful he is to be playing here with a chance to compete for the cup.
Hopefully he tells Eric Francis to frack off
