There were some great games on national television for a Monday night.

The Kings at Blackhawks was on NBCSN and TSN2 was by far the game of the night from start to finish. The second and third periods were fast pace with many goals, especially with the Kings getting the last second goal in the second period. The Kings won 5-4 in regulation.

The Leafs at Bruins on TSN and RDS was another close game as this was part two of the home-away series. It was played in a similar fashion as it was on Saturday with the Leafs scoring all their goals first and then the Bruins trying to come back. It was the same final score but this time, the Bruins won 3-2 in the shootout as the Leafs are now 0-4 in the skills competition.

The Devils at Senators was on TVA Sports in french. Ottawa defeats the Devils 3-2 in the shootout. It appears that the Senators enjoy going to the skills competition with New Jersey as it the second time in a row this season they beat them like this.

Another game with lots of goals scored every period had the Wild outscoring the Stars wildly 7-4. They also badly outshot Dallas 42-26. Lehtonen was letting them all in, the final goal was an empty net goal.

The Predators are back on a winning streak again as they won their third consecutive game, 3-2 over the Oilers in regulation time. The main focus of this game was the play of Kostitsyn who gave up on a play last week against the Oilers which led to the winning goal. "Predators coach Barry Trotz scratched Kostitsyn in the next game to hold him accountable. Since then, Kostitsyn, who led Nashville in goals and points in 2010-11, has gone a total of plus 3 in three games, finishing even or better in each."

The victory along with the Stars loss puts Nashville in eighth place for now, depending on the outcome of the Sharks at Ducks game.

Speaking of that game, the Sharks are up 3-1 after two periods over the Ducks. The Ducks could be losing their third straight game.

The final game of the night has the Red Wings at Coyotes tied 2-2 after two periods.
