That's not necessarly true.
Bishop who had played only a hand full of NHL games got a 2nd.
Lindbak got 2, 2nd round picks,
Varlamov got a 1st and 2nd.
It looks like franchises are willing to give up enough if they think the goaltender is young and has franchise potential. I would say Bernier is better than the other 3, which would make him worth more.
