I think the value of Iginla is better spent elsewhere, that's all. The goalie market has been a buyers market for years now, don't sell of Iginla even the surest of things. I'd rather get a good forward or D prospect and a first rounder for example.
But we'll see. I'm not a huge Bernier fan either but I'm not stupid enough to say because I'm not a fan of his that he can't be that guy either.

Just to be clear you'd rather get a riskier guy with a potentially higher ceiling? Bernier is looking to be a solid starter, who would have a better return than that? Sure we'd all like a flashy skater but any player we get back for Iginla is going to be a player with questions around them. Don't see Iginla returning a top forward prospect.
I don't get why people think goaltending isn't a problem now and in the future for this org. It is a position of need. Sure you can sign a UFA stop-gap but don't people remember the Wregget, Braithwaite, Fuhr, Vernon days?
Again a goaltender in the hand is worth two in the bush.
