Hey, I like Montreal as much as anyone, but it is a fact that the Canadiens struggle to attract NHL free agents. The city is not a particularly easy one to live in, the tax burden is the highest of any in the League, and there are a high number of players that are turned off by the francophone culture. I have no idea about Iginla's opinion on these matters, but it would really be unsurprising if he were not particularly drawn to the Canadiens.
