It is hard not to feel bad for the guy, he seems like he knows what they need to do but is just not allowed to do it.
I can imagine his conversation with Brent right before Brent quit:
Jay- Hey Brent, we are going to return basically the same team next year
Brent - Jay, this team sucks, it is a miracle that we did as well as we did this year, the only time we had real success was when we had all those injuries and I had some guys that actually listened to the coach
Jay - I know but we are not rebuilding, every game matters Brent
Brent - I cannot comeback and coach this team
Jay - Ok, we will let you go then.
Only a select few morons thought that this team was anywhere close to being a bubble team after last year and going into this year, unfortunately the owners were in that select group of morons.
