Not necessarily to the same team, but to a contender?
I know he has his warts, and all the losing is making us see mostly negatives, but $3.5 million is a steal for 0.80ppg player. I tend to believe that Tanguay would be a huge addition/benefit to a perennial contending team as playing with an actual chance at a Cup would probably breath new life into a vet like Tangs.
I think he could net a nice return.

On the flip side, the Flames still need skilled vets even if they choose to rebuild. Who else are they going to put on the first line? Tanguay is dirt cheap, has a cup ring, can create offense on his own, and his skill set should age well. He'll be a good asset to play alongside Backlund or whatever youngin' the Flames draft this year.
If Feaster can get rid of Cammalleri instead of Tanguay, that should be the preferred route.
