Not necessarily to the same team, but to a contender?
I know he has his warts, and all the losing is making us see mostly negatives, but $3.5 million is a steal for 0.80ppg player. I tend to believe that Tanguay would be a huge addition/benefit to a perennial contending team as playing with an actual chance at a Cup would probably breath new life into a vet like Tangs.
I think he could net a nice return.

Actually, I think he has more value to a team like Nashville, struggling offensively with an internal budget. Have some guys, but struggle with puck possession and passing in the offensive zone.
Phoenix is another potential team. He's displayed an ability to play to play defensive hockey before, though, he seemed to bail on it.
Dallas, too, could be a potential destination for the same reasons as above.
I know we went over this before and I'm not trying to troll you, but I just don't see what a top team is looking to get a guy like Tanguay. I don't think his contract is that much of a steal, quite frankly, given his warts. Detroit could be interested because he could replace Bertuzzi as their second line mixer, but I don't know what direction they're going to go in this year. They might even be sellers.
