I mean at the end of the day, non of us really know for sure, and I guess it's conceivable that he doesn't give a **** and just collects a pay cheque. But when I watch his body language in bad games, he looks like he's angry and dissapointed beyond belief. have you ever watched him when the camera shows him on the bench near the end of a game? Seriously, he looks like nothing bothers him more in the word than to lose in a bad way. It's not the body language of a player who no longer cares.

I think some of our fans are confusing a power forward, who is getting toa stage where he can no longer be a power forward for a lack of care, and it pisses me off so much.

I wanted Iggy to finish his career in Calgary because I thought it was amazing that we had a true loyal leader that wanted to play in one city for his whole career. Our Joe Sakic or Steve Yzerman. There really was a special connection between Iginla and this city, but with the crap he's had to put up with here, I now hope he waives his no trade clause and moves on, because these past couple of years have put a stain on the legacy of Iginla in Calgary, and I'd rather he just move on for his own sake.
I honestly don't see the body language like you do.

He was smiling and laughing with Cervenka at the end of this one?

His interviews are "we need to be better....."

His efforts on ice are in and out, casual and then hard.

And finally while yes of course I don't know for sure, it seems reasonable that a guy that's been paid over whatever million dollars, is renowned as the local hero, is probably very comfortable and more family focused would maybe care less about winning game in and out. So yes, a logical "leap" I suppose.

It's too bad everybody thinks he's being "run out of town", I don't see it that way. I see it as fans wanting a winning team and believing that the best way forward is to get rid of him and salvage assets.

For the record I agree that people shouldn't slander the guy. But I also think people need to stop being so sensitive whenever his name pops up. He's a hockey player, not your dad.
