If the organization was more forthright in this crisis there would be much less speculation and gossip tossed directly at Iginla.
I think that if this silence continues, the organization will feel the effects for years - those effects being the perception they hung Iginla out to dry at the end.

Yup, I'd agree. Iginla is the victim of a culture of poor drafting and development, and as a result instead of us being able to give him the Yzerman treatment, we're forced to sell our best asset to keep the car on the road.
But we can't avoid what we are now, and until Iginla is gone, this organization will continue to chase the dream of him going out like Elway.
