Now that I'm home from the office and have time to expand on this a bit...
I'm a huge proponent of brand loyalty. There's so much crap out there to choose from, and I don't really have the time or patience to mess around with stuff that doesn't work the way it should (or at least the way I expect it to anyway). When I find something that works well, and I'm pleased with it, I go back to that same company when it's time to replace or upgrade it (or whatever). There are a great many benefits in being able to know what you're getting and trust where you're getting it from. A lot of people seem to be loyal to whatever does something the cheapest. I'm not like that. I value my time and my sanity much more than I value my money.
With that said... here's my list:
General stuff
Watches: Citizen
Household electronics: Panasonic or Samsung
Car audio: Pioneer
Shoes: Nike
Laundry: Tide (both detergent and dryer sheets)
Appliances: Maytag
Deodorant: Old Spice
Shampoo: Pantene or Dove
Soap: Irish Spring
Toothpaste: Colgate
Mouthwash: Listerene
Computers and computer components
Business laptops: Apple, ASUS or Lenovo
Personal laptops: Apple
Desktops: Apple or custom-built (see following)
Operating systems: OS X for home and development use, Windows for home and office use, Linux for utility and development use (shocking, I know)
Processors: Intel
RAM: Corsair
Power supplies: Corsair
Hard drives: Western Digital or Seagate
SSDs: Intel for reliability, OCZ or Samsung for performance
Motherboards: ASUS
Graphics: Don't care about ATI vs NVIDIA, but I'll only buy ASUS or HIS cards
Mice and keyboards: Logitech or SteelSeries
Portables
Phones: Apple, RIM, Nexus (regardless of manufacturer)
Tablets: Apple, ASUS, Samsung
Music players: Apple
Edit: I should add that it's not like I'm a robot about this stuff. Everything is entirely experience-based. If something from one company ends up frustrating me enough, I don't have any issues with switching to a different company. My overall point is that when I find something that works well for me, I'll give that manufacturer another chance with the next go-round. The longer they go without disappointing me, the longer I'll continue to buy their stuff.
