They wouldn't gamble losing him to another team if they had him so high. If they think so highly of him, they have to think that other teams do as well, and if you have a top-5 guy available at 14-20, there's no way you just trust that no one else sees in him what your scouts do.

I'm perfectly satisfied that they had several guys they liked at that point. That makes sense. Beyond that, to me it's just the natural desire to believe that the team got their special guy rather than just one good prospect among many.
