I agree. Also, our severe lack of actual centers has led directly to a ridiculous number of complete defensive breakdowns.
I really do think that adding a proper 1/2 center would've helped us in the standings more than different goaltending this year. Oddly enough, said centers probably wouldn't lead to more GF, but would help with the GA immensely.
