LOL. The Flames are currently in the mix for 8th as well yet we want to gut the team so we can... wait for it... be in the mix for 8th? The Oilers "strategy" has fallen on their lap. They never traded their veteran players for good draft picks because frankly they never had any that were worth while. Their GM picked the consensus first overall players even though there were other players who probably filled their needs more appropriately. The Oilers did not blow it up, they just were a terrible terrible hockey team who may have marginally improved.
