It has changed for me this year and it is mostly due to performance/expectations. I am also in the twilight of my 20's and am not the same fan that I was when I was younger. I do follow the team more clsoely now spending more time on CP at home as well as listening to the FAN during the workday which I didn't do in my early 20's.
I remember the 09/10 season I was so emotionally invested in the team. My mood was horrible during that 9 game slide. The 2011 run I was also cheering loudly when the Flames scored when playoffs looked possible. This year I was optimistic to start the season but when they crapped the bed coming out of the gate I wasn't surprised. I am tired of the direction of this team and am not affected by wins or losses anymore. I also spent a pretty penny to watch the first 2 games of the California road trip and am still feeling bitter about the horrible games I witnessed in LA.
I just don't believe in this team anymore which is affecting how I watch and cheer for them. I still watch every game, and follow the team very closely online but I am just not as emotionally invested in the wins/losses than I was a couple years ago.
