I think he should be playing more, but I wouldn't go as far as to say he's an "excellent" player being misused.
He's soft, it really showed in the California games, came out of shape and has a lot of adjusting to do to understand the NHL game.
I'd like to see him back next season with more understanding of the NHL game and in NHL shape, not KHL shape hindered by an injury.
