Yeah, he was. Especially as they were just coming out he shot maybe 10 times but it cuts back to him as he tries to shoot only to find his gun is out of ammo so he pistol whips the zombies instead. Ends with him and a solid dozen of zombies within reaching distance and him backing into what appeared to be a corner.
Give em credit for not having infinite ammo pistols but if The Governor can escape that there's absolutely no way any zombie poses a threat to anyone in the show anymore.
It's too bad as they have a good story to tell, they just can't get the minor details right in a lot of episodes like this. I mean, sure, it's a zombie show I should be suspending some disbelief but there's just a lot of "mistakes" that take away from the overall show. At least in my opinion.
It was the same a couple episodes ago where they met Morgan. In what was an otherwise great episode they had to have Michonne go back into the cafe to get Carl's photo. It's literally being stepped on by dozens of zombies but she's capable of sneaking in, snatching it, and grabbing her crazy cat statue without the zombies noticing. And yet 99% of the world has been decimated by these zombies? Even if they deteriorated, they still pose a threat anytime the story calls for it.
