The way playoffs work in Finland is that 6 teams get straight in and 4 teams play a best of 3 pity series to determine who are the final 2 to get to the proper playoffs.
HIFK finished 8th in the league and tonight they beat Saipa in their series, so the playoffs continue for
Ortio and
Granlund.
Ortio's stats in the regular season: 54g, 23-9-20, 2.42gaa, 91.65sv, 4 shutouts.
He also won the (tabloid paper) Ilta-sanomat player of the year for having acquired the most star selection points in their reviews this year, beating the league MVP Antti Raanta, for example, which suggests that he's been very important to his team.

Ortio's playoff stats so far: 3g, 2-0-1, 2.19gaa, 94.12sv.
Granlund's regular season stats: 50g, 10+20=30 points, +3. Not bad, Joel Armia for example had 33 points, but without having seen him play much, it's tough to say how his development has been going.
I think he had the flu and missed the first two playoff games, but he got an assist in tonight's win. Seems like he centered the third line.
