Hmm... Was just doing a bit of my own reading and apparently there are some pretty wacky frequency response curves on subs such that people say they can discern a difference when a sub is EQ'd. I'd probably have to hear it to believe it, but I doubt if I'm enough of an audiophile to discern a difference. Anyway, sounds like the subwoofer EQ may indeed be valuable to someone who would notice that sort of thing.
