IMO whoever the Flames may have in their sights at trade deadline as summer buyout candidates (though sounds like upper management has bigger fish to fry at this point), this may be a better and cheaper alternative. IMO that could be Cammalleri or Tanguay, among others(or none) could be on that list. If that's going to be the way they are planning to proceed, save some of that cap space now by trading some of the paid contract with the player for something in return.
