Most of the gentlemen's clubs will actually waive the cover if you take their free limo to the club. It's cheaper for them to pay a limo driver's salary to pick up guests than it is to pay the $100 a head kickback to the cabbies. If you don't feel like waiting for their limo, you can either have the cab drop you off at a nearby intersection like blankall recommended, or negotiate with the cabbie before you get in and get him to agree to give you the cash to pay the cover. Do not tell the club that you did that, though, or he won't get his kickback and you'll make some enemies.
