I wouldn't want to be in Iginla's shoes. If he stays and signs a new contract to market value, that'll be too much (WHAT, no home town discount!). If we trade him we'll almost never be satisfied with the return.
The only way for Iginla to "win" is to accept a trade, win a cup, resign at a home town discount in the summer while mentoring a new batch of stars... likely? Naw.

As for Feaster, I have completely lost all faith in him as a GM. Either he is all talk, or handcuffed, good signings but a smart man would start moving out supplementary players like Stempniak and dare I say Tanguay & Cammalleri who has been all but missing lately.
