I agree with this although a good tablet with good keyboard addon will be more expensive than a netbook (which are basically dead, manufacturers stopped making them).
For travelling, I'd get a tablet. There's no reason to really watch 1080p MKVs on anything with less than a 22" screen even with ultra high pixel density.
