There was a few years where I couldn't afford tickets to go to games, and I hadn't gone to a game for about 3 years. I scored free tickets to see the Flames host the Kings. I can't remember the exact circumstances but the Kings needed a goalie and the Canucks were giving up on Felix Potvin, so the Kings traded a conditional pick to Vancouver for him. The talk was that Potvin had gone downhill so much that if he didn't do well with LA that he would be out of the NHL... in his first game with the Kings he shutout the Flames in Calgary.
