Or else then these are a beautiful example of honoring the past combined with the modern, from pre-NHL days.
(and yes, I LOVE these jerseys as a one-time event)
And even further to the point, $ven made an absolute statement based soley on opinion. If you are going to use that as your argument you just make yourself look the fool.
Very happy the Flames are a forward thinking and moving organization. Leave the tacky to the Oilers. They do it very well.

I'm not sure why you're getting so upset over whether someone likes the Retro jerseys or not. Maybe I should have clarified for you. When i said retro's are never tacky, the assumption is when I say retro I mean original 6, flyers, oilers, Buffalo, purple LA ones, devils, and caps winter classic Jerseys. Of course anyone can go back through 100 years of NHL history and say 'oh these are ugly, hence all retros are ugly' which is completely flawed. There are very few nice Jerseys in the NHL today that aren't a retro or have some hints of retro in their Jersey (St Louis third, Winnipeg and SJ being the exceptions IMO).
This is a message board, you're not going to agree with everyone but that doesn't warrant a freak out.
