I think we can safely assume that his numbers would not be so bad now if he hadn't gotten hurt. But again, no excuse for playing badly, just a fact.

I think he'd look better if the flames had a semblance of a defensive system, but in comparison to Anderson who is outright stealing games for Ottawa, his relative value to the team isn't close right now.
Compared further to a 100 point playmaking centre and the reigning Norris trophy winner, and the comparison is bordering on silly.
