One, I don't want a team fighting for a long shot of 8 place. I want a team firmly on the playoffs fighting for home ice advantage and being spoke of as one the the Stanley Cup contenders. Feaster said that is the objective. So far Feaster is full of crap.
Two, wasn't the last road trip the big opportunity? The one where Iginla said we had to be at least 500 at the end of. Because by my math they were two games under at the end of that. It is like a Perpetual gambling addiction.
Neither of those are Iginla's fault. While on the team he has to keep grasping.
But I am sick of being at the bottom grasping for chances. I am sick of the same old comments. I am sick of the almost condescending tone coming from the team because the fans have thrown in the towel. Most of all I am sick of talk with no action and doing the same old over and over.
I have no idea how some people swallow the crap each season. We are at four years. Are people going to be defending this mess at five? Eight? Ten?

The math is very simple, we can't draft. So, were stuck endlessly signing players 29+ to help a core that continually gets older.
Iginla is not the problem here, never has been. By now, there should be a core that is pushing him to being a 2nd line winger.
All we can do now is trade guys like Cammy, Tangs, Bouw etc. for 22-24 year olds that show promise/semi-promise. Relying on first round picks other than top 3 (hard lottery to win) isnt going to get us anywhere - Leland Irving is gone after this season, another failed pick....
