Since we have to hockey this season, and a guy can't go without his hockey fix, I decided to buy both games for PS2. I personally like the EA game better but, as it's been said many times before, it's all a matter of opinion. I think ESPN might be a little closer to an actual hockey simulation, but the EA game presentation looks so much better. The players look far more realistic and I love the new on-ice intro's, presentations, etc. The biggest downsides of EA IMO are the unrealistic number of HUGE hits and the lack of a create a player mode. They also need to go a little deeper with their dynasty mode (minor league teams, coaches, and I could go on and on). ESPN does a lot of little things right as well, but overall I enjoyed EA more. Best advice I can offer is to rent each game and then make a decision for yourself.

These guys really need to get together, take the best from each game and make the ultimate hockey sim.
