That to me would be the green light to keep exploring your intent to undertake a career change - it's got to appeal to you on that deeper level if you want to get good at it and enjoy it. Nobody knows everything in IT (nor is anyone a guru - the guys who know the most tend to also realize how much more there is to learn, and don't go around calling themselves gurus), but
that drive to understand more, not just to know more, is what sustains you.
