I don't think Iginla would get a Nash/Carter/Richards type return, even though teams pay more at the deadline.
Nash - Anisimov, Dubinsky, Erixon, 1st (2013)
Carter -Voracek, 1st (8th), 3rd
Carter - Jack Johnson (former top 5 pick), conditional 1st
Richards - Schenn (former top 5 pick), Simmonds, 2nd
But on the other hand, teams have shelled out a 1st for guys like Paul Gaustad (21st)and Kyle Quincey (19th) at the deadline, and Troy Brouwer (26th) over the summer. So his value is more than just a low 1st round pick.
I could easily see Iginla netting a low 1st (20-30), a prospect who wasn't drafted in the top 15, and conditional picks based on how the team does in the playoffs or if he re-signs (1st for cup win, 2nd for conf final, 1st/2nd for re-sign).
