With all due respect to Oiler fans which is very little, I think we can state that they rank among the dumbest fans in Hockey. This is a team that has been constantly terrible since the Stanley Cup run. They are run by an incompetent management team, coached by a nose picker, owned by a idiot. They are a mess on the ice, and I don't care what they say, they have pretty much been in rebuild mode since Pronger told them to get stuffed.
Yet they continue to believe the propaganda hype issued by the team as does the dumbest set of media people in hockey that this team is going somewhere.
I laugh at the year after year hype and the buy in that they're building something special up there. They aren't building anything special up there. If not for some very good goaltending this year, the Oilers are a 3 or 4 win team.
The media and fans should be angry and or laughing at the Flames for not starting to swing assets to change the dynamic of the team. But the fact that anyone thinks that Lowe and moron have stumbled onto any genius strategy is laughable at best. If any team needs to be blown up its Edmonton from the top down.
Its going to be angry to see Edmonton playing a Hawks team today that is coming off of their first regular time loss this year.
The Flames might be bad, the Oilers are worse and will be for a long time.
